The Guide TU650M 3.0 is the 640-class model of Guide's two-channel TU 3.0 riflescopes: a 640 × 512 thermal core and a 1920 × 1080 digital day-and-night camera behind separate lenses, sharing one square 1.03-inch 2560 × 2560 AMOLED. One scope carries a sit from daylight into full darkness, with a 1,500 m rangefinder, on-screen holdover and AI animal tracking built in. We carry it for hunters who would otherwise mount a day optic and a thermal for the same evening.

TU650M, TU650P or TU1250M: Choosing the Channel Mix
Three Guide TU 3.0 scopes use the same square 1.03-inch display. What sits behind it is the decision.
- Against the TU650P. The TU650P matches this scope's thermal resolution, display and 14-hour rating, and goes thermal-only: no digital channel, a faster F0.9 thermal lens and a rangefinder built into the objective, at 923 g against 1,013 g. Pick the TU650M when you want a visible-light image to confirm what the thermal shows.
- Against the TU1250M. The TU1250M shares this housing, digital channel and display, and upgrades the thermal core to 1280 × 1024. It starts at 1.9x with a 17.5° × 14.0° thermal field, twice the TU650M's 8.8° × 7.0° on each axis, so it scans wider. The TU650M answers with a 14-hour rating against 12 hours, and it weighs 77 g less.
- Against the TU650L. The TU650L puts the same 640 × 512 sensor and 50mm F1.0 lens in a 377 mm, 815 g body with a 0.49-inch 1080p display and no digital channel. It is the lighter choice when thermal alone covers your hunting.
Key Features
- Two sensors, two lenses. Thermal runs at 640 × 512 with a 12 μm pitch, ≤18 mK NETD and 50 Hz behind a 50mm F1.0 lens. The digital camera is a 1920 × 1080 CMOS with 2.9 μm pixels behind a 35mm F4.0 lens. Seven thermal palettes, plus Day, Night and Low-light modes for the digital side.
- Square 2560 × 2560 AMOLED. The 1.03-inch panel sits behind an eyepiece with 60 mm of eye relief and a −5 to +5 diopter. Magnification runs 3.7x to 29.6x on both channels, and the thermal field at 3.7x is 8.8° × 7.0°, or 15 × 12 m at 100 m.
- Picture-in-picture. A 2x inset of the image centre, from either channel, while the full view stays on screen.
- AI tracking. In thermal mode the scope boxes wild boar, deer, rabbits, foxes, coyotes and bears, up to ten at a time for 30 seconds each. A person it detects gets an orange box and a warning icon that stays on screen. Treat it as a cue, never as a substitute for identifying your target.
- Rangefinder and holdover. The laser rangefinder reads to 1,500 m. Enter your cartridge data in the TargetIR Ballistics app, and the scope displays holdover in MOA or MIL after each reading.
- BTC reticle centering. After you zero, BTC moves the reticle's center point back to the middle of the screen.
- Shot-triggered video. With intelligent recording switched on, recoil saves a 15-second clip, 5 seconds before the shot and 10 after, plus 5 photos. Trigger sensitivity has five levels, and clips land on 256 GB of memory with audio.
- Power. Two 18650 batteries sit inside the body, alongside an external battery system. Guide rates the set at 14 hours and says its replaceable 18650s can be hot-swapped, letting a fresh cell go in without shutting the scope off. Charging is over USB-C.
- Weather and recoil. IP68 sealing, a 6,000 J shock rating, recoil up to .300 Win Mag, and an operating range of −4°F to 122°F.
Ideal For
- Evening sits that run past legal light. Glass the field on the digital channel while it is still bright, then switch to thermal as it fades, without swapping optics. Each channel takes its own zero, set in the same zeroing session.
- Hog and predator control on working farms. Thermal finds the heat, and the digital channel shows the detail that heat alone flattens before you decide on a shot.
- Hunters who film their shots. Recoil-triggered clips record each shot with no button to press.
Accessories & Compatibility
The box holds Guide's quick-detach mount, a carry bag, the IR illuminator with its bracket, two 18650 cells, a charger and a 5V 2A adapter. The Bluetooth remote is an optional extra. WiFi on 2.4 and 5 GHz streams the live view to the TargetIR app, which can also run the scope.
