Which jacket fits
APC 42
Fits the APC 12x42 and 16x42 stabilized binoculars, in Full Black, Sage Green, Marine Blue or Safety Orange. Safety Orange is the easiest to spot when the binocular is set down in brush or on a boat deck.
APC 50
Fits the APC 14x50 and 18x50 stabilized binoculars, in both the AA and the Li-ion versions, in Full Black or Sage Green.
APC 60
Fits the APC 17-35x60 stabilized spotting scope, over its objective end, in Full Black or Sage Green. The APC 10x30 and 12x30 binoculars have no jacket in the range.
Carrying with a harness
A four-point chest harness holds the binocular against the chest, so it does not sag or bounce as you walk, and it spreads the weight across both shoulders instead of the neck. The Athlon compact harness closes with a magnet rather than a buckle, so it opens with one hand and makes no click to spook game or flush a bird. Side mesh pockets and a zipped back pocket hold a rangefinder, a lens cloth or a call.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do the jackets fit other Kite binoculars?
No. Each jacket is shaped for one APC model size: the APC 42, the APC 50 or the APC 60 spotting scope.
Which binoculars fit the Athlon compact harness?
Mid-size binoculars, up to about 42 mm objectives, such as an 8x42 or a 10x42.
Do I need a jacket on a stabilized binocular?
No, it is an option. The jacket adds protection from scratches, knocks and everyday field wear, and grip for a secure, comfortable hold.
