Explore Scientific 82° Series 1.25" 6.5mm LER Waterproof Eyepiece

The 82° Series 6.5mm LER provides high-power, ultra-wide-field views with comfortable Long Eye Relief, ideal for detailed planetary observation without the cramped eye position that short focal length eyepieces often demand. At 82°, the field of view is nearly 60% wider than a 52° eyepiece's, and low-dispersion, high-index glass delivers the sharpness to fill it.

Key Features

• 82° apparent field of view — immersive wide-field views that reveal planets in the context of their surrounding star field
• Long Eye Relief (LER) design — maintains comfortable viewing distance at high power, a genuine advantage for eyeglass wearers
• 7-element optics of low-dispersion, high-index glass: sharp, well-corrected images across the full 82° field
• Argon-purged waterproof housing — sealed and fog-proof for dependable all-weather performance
• Enhanced Multi-Layer Deposition (EMD) coatings on all air-to-glass surfaces with edge-blackened elements
• Fold-down silicone rubber eyecup and 1.25" barrel for standard compatibility

Ideal For

• Planetary and lunar observers who want high magnification with an ultra-wide, immersive field of view
• Eyeglass wearers who need the LER design to access the full 82° field without removing glasses
