The most versatile focal extender in the lineup — the Explore Scientific 1.25" 2x doubles the magnification of every eyepiece you own while preserving eye relief and field performance. Built around a telecentric 4-element optical design with EMD-enhanced multi-coatings on all air-to-glass surfaces, it delivers sharper edge performance and flatter fields than a traditional 2- or 3-element Barlow. The telecentric design also keeps magnification consistent regardless of spacing in the optical path — critical for imaging setups with filter wheels or flip mirrors.
A non-marring compression ring clamp holds eyepieces securely without scratching, and the double-tapered insert barrel ensures smooth, safe insertion into any 1.25" focuser. Threaded for standard 1.25" astronomy filters.

- Doubles your effective eyepiece collection without buying additional eyepieces
- Non-marring compression ring clamp and double-tapered insert barrel
