Recommended Accessory for Safe & Optimal Performance

Using the right energy rejection accessory ensures safe solar observing and protects your equipment from excessive heat. The requirements vary depending on your telescope’s aperture:

For Apertures Between 80mm and 150mm

Use a UV/IR Cut Filter (placed before the diagonal) as an Energy Rejection Filter (ERF).

Do NOT use red or yellow front-mounted ERFs.
