10x42 binoculars pair 10x magnification with 42mm objectives, the configuration favored by birders, hunters and wildlife watchers who want extra reach in a compact size. The 10x view resolves more distant detail than an 8x42, while the 42mm aperture stays bright at dawn and dusk.
