Questions & Answers

Have a Question?

Ask a Question
  • How do the battery life and storage capacities differ between the Vespera Pro and the Vespera II?

The Vespera Pro boasts a battery life of up to 11 hours and includes 225 GB of internal storage. In comparison, the Vespera II's battery lasts about 4 hours, and it has 25 GB of internal storage.

  • What is the difference in camera resolution between the Vaonis Vespera Pro and the Vaonis Vespera II?

The Vaonis Vespera Pro is equipped with a 12.5 MP Sony IMX676 sensor, which supports high-resolution imaging and can achieve up to 32 MP with CovalENS technology. On the other hand, the Vaonis Vespera II features an 8.3 MP Sony IMX585 sensor, a significant upgrade from the original Vespera's 2 MP sensor but still less than the Pro.

  • Can it be used for bird watching, pictures and video?

The Vaonis Vespera Pro, designed primarily as a compact and portable astrophotography telescope, is not typically recommended for birdwatching. This device uses a specific type of imaging system more suited for long-exposure astrophotography, capturing detailed images of stars, planets, and deep-sky objects.

  • can a solar filter be installed for the sun? can magnification be altered with lens options? what is the highest magnification available? can globular clusters be observed given the aperture of its lens?

Yes, Vaonis manufactures a Vespera Solar filter for Sun observation. No, this is not a traditional telescope with interchangeable eyepieces. It is a fixed magnification equivalent to 33x. Yes, the sensor can capture and create photos of globular clusters (images above in the description).
