The Explore FirstLight EXOS Nano is a light-duty German equatorial mount and steel tripod for small telescopes up to 15 lb: a small Maksutov-Cassegrain, refractor or solar scope, a short, fast Newtonian, or Explore Scientific's ED80.
Key Features
- German equatorial design. Once the mount is polar aligned, a target is followed across the sky by turning one axis.
- Vixen-style mounting. Telescopes with a Vixen-style dovetail bar mount directly to the head.
- 1.25-inch steel ST1 tripod. The legs extend from 25.5 to 45 inches.
- 10 lb mount. That is the head's weight without its counterweight.
Ideal For
- Owners of a small telescope who want an equatorial mount for it, within the 15 lb limit and with a Vixen-style dovetail bar.
- Observers who travel to darker skies and want a mount head that weighs 10 lb.
