Explore Scientific Sidara Nano 90 — 90mm Refractor Telescope with Alt-Az Mount

Starter telescopes often force a compromise: choose between an aperture large enough to show something interesting or a package light enough to actually carry outside. The Explore Scientific Sidara Nano 90 resolves that tension with a 90mm refractor, Nano alt-az mount, and SkyAssist smartphone navigation in a single, portable system.

The 90mm doublet refractor brings clean, high-contrast views to lunar craters, planetary detail, and brighter deep-sky objects like the Orion Nebula and the Pleiades. The 700mm focal length (f/7.8) keeps chromatic aberration well-controlled while delivering satisfying magnification of Saturn's rings and Jupiter's Galilean moons. Because refractors need no collimation, the Nano 90 is ready to observe every time you set it up.

Key Features

• 90mm doublet refractor with an f/7.8 focal ratio, for sharp, high-contrast images with no collimation required
• Nano alt-az mount with dual-axis slow-motion controls for smooth, precise tracking, and no electronics or power required
• SkyAssist smartphone navigation. Attach your phone to locate and identify celestial objects in real time
• 45° erect-image diagonal makes the system double as a daytime spotting scope for terrestrial viewing
• Solar filter included: a cap that fits over the front of the tube, marked "Read Directions Before Use"; follow its directions before viewing sunspots and solar eclipses
• Two Plössl eyepieces (25mm and 10mm) cover wide-field and medium-high magnification

Ideal For

Beginners and families who want a grab-and-go telescope that works well for both astronomy and daytime nature viewing. Travelers will appreciate the compact footprint; the Nano mount was designed for portability without sacrificing stable tracking.
