Athlon Optics Ares G2 UHD 15-45x65 Straight Angle Spotting Scope

Serious glassing from a vehicle, a blind, or a tripod in tight quarters demands a compact spotting scope that doesn't sacrifice glass quality for portability. The Athlon Ares G2 UHD 15-45x65 Straight delivers apochromatic UHD glass, ESP dielectric-coated BAK-4 prisms, and a modular eyepiece system in a compact straight-through body that packs serious optical performance into a package sized for truck beds, daypacks, and tight spaces.

Key Features

• UHD Apochromatic Glass — Extra-low dispersion elements converge color wavelengths at a single focal point, eliminating chromatic aberration for crisp, high-contrast imagery across the entire 15-45x zoom range.
• ESP Dielectric-Coated BAK-4 Prisms — Exceptional light transmission and vivid, true-to-life color rendition, even in dim or overcast conditions.
• Interchangeable Eyepiece System — Swap the standard zoom eyepiece for an optional 22x eyepiece.
• 171 ft Field of View at 1,000 Yards — A wide field at 15x lets you scan large areas without repositioning.
• Straight-Through Design — Natural line-of-sight alignment makes it quicker to find a subject. Prefer angled? See the Ares G2 UHD 15-45x65 Angled.
• Argon Purged & Waterproof — Sealed aluminum alloy chassis handles rain, snow, altitude changes, and temperature swings without internal fogging.
• XPL Exterior Lens Coating — Shields exposed glass from dirt, oil, and scratches during hard field use.
• 13.1 ft Close Focus — Useful for observing nearby wildlife and other subjects at close range.

Ideal For

• Backcountry hunters who need serious glass in a 49.5 oz, 13.5-inch package: compact enough for a daypack, capable enough for full-day glassing sessions across basins and ridgelines.
• Birders and wildlife observers looking for a wide-field, high-clarity optic they can carry to remote sites without a weight penalty.
