This lighter design does not compromise on quality; it includes the acclaimed HOYA FCD100 ED glass, renowned for its similarity to OHARA’s FPL-53 and exceptional chromatic aberration correction capabilities. Our advancements in optical technology ensure that this telescope stands at the forefront of the FCD family, offering unmatched clarity and color fidelity.

Designed for both the spontaneous stargazer and the dedicated astronomer, this telescope boasts a diffraction-limited optical system and an air-spaced triplet lens configuration that virtually eliminates chromatic aberrations. The result is breathtakingly sharp, high-contrast images, achieved through the combination of HOYA FCD100 extra-low dispersion glass and our exclusive EMD enhanced multi-layer coatings on all optical surfaces.

It comes equipped with a Cradle Ring with Handle and Vixen-Style Dovetail Plate, along with the Explore Scientific 2N1 Finder Scope Base pre-installed. The 99% Reflective 2" Diagonal ensures optimal light reflection. At a weight of just 9.3lbs with the cradle, it's designed for easy transport and setup. Note: The case and finder scope are not included, but you can complement your telescope with the Explore Scientific 8x50 Straight Through Illuminated Viewfinder or the Explore Scientific 8x50 Illuminated Right Angle Polar Finder Scope for enhanced celestial navigation.
