Driven hunts and close-cover shots leave little time to find the animal in the scope. PARD built the Pantera 384 Mini for that work, inside 100 m: a 384 × 288 sensor rated at ≤15 mK behind a 25 mm lens at 2.4x, a 1920 × 1080 OLED, a 1,000 m laser rangefinder in the turret and a day-scope shape that weighs 500 g with its battery. PARD rates detection at 1,200 m.
Key Features
- 384 × 288 at ≤15 mK. An uncooled vanadium oxide (VOx) detector with 110,592 pixels at a 12 μm pitch and a 50 Hz frame rate. PARD rates it to separate temperature differences as small as 0.015 °C.
- 2.4x and a 10.5° field. The 25 mm lens shows a 10.5° × 7.9° field, about 18.4 m by 13.8 m at 100 m, and focuses from 5 m to infinity with a side focus knob. The 2.4x base magnification is optical; the 2x, 4x, 6x and 8x digital zoom steps enlarge the pixels at the center of the image, which makes the subject look bigger without adding detail. Eye relief is 50 mm and the diopter runs from -5 to +5. The Pantera 384 Mini 35mm gives 3.4x and a 7.5° × 5.7° field, rated to detect at 1,800 m. The Pantera 256 Mini with LRF uses a 256 × 192 sensor behind the same lens at 3.6x.
- Rangefinder in the turret. The laser rangefinder sits in the top control area, measures to 1,000 m and feeds the ballistic calculator.
- Reticles and display modes. Six reticle styles in red, white, yellow or green, five image modes (WT-HOT, BK-HOT, RD-HOT, IN-HOT and SKY), three scene modes, picture-in-picture and hot track.
- Record the shot. Recoil-activated and loop recording save photos and video at 1920 × 1080 to a microSD card of up to 128 GB. Wi-Fi connects to the PardVision2 app, and a gyroscope and an electronic compass are built in.
- Built for recoil and weather. An aluminum alloy housing sealed to IP67, rated to 6,000 J of recoil and -30 °C to +55 °C (-22 °F to +131 °F). One 18650 battery runs it for up to 5 hours, with external power over USB-C.
Ideal For
- Driven hunts and fast shots inside 100 m, where PARD optimized this scope.
- Light rifles, with a 500 g scope in a day-scope shape.
- Hunters who range before the shot, with the distance feeding the ballistic calculator.
