The Alpen Optics 8x42 Kodiak Waterproof Binoculars is outfitted with a magnification and objective lens combination preferred by hunters, birders, and outdoor enthusiasts for its versatility and all-around performance.

The 42mm objectives gather all the light needed to keep views crisp and bright in challenging conditions, such as at dawn and dusk, without being overly bulky or cumbersome, and are complemented by BAK4 prism glass and fully multicoated lenses.

These features work together to produce bright, clear high-contrast views that approach wide angle. The Kodiak chassis is nitrogen-filled and O-ring sealed to be resistant to internal fogging and waterproof to a depth of over three feet for up to 30 minutes—so it'll likely handle the rain, snow, or a fall into a puddle or creek better than you would.
