For hunters and long-range shooters who grew up counting clicks in quarter-MOA increments, switching to MIL means relearning a system that works fine but isn't yours. The Athlon Heras SPR 6-24×56 with the APLR7 SFP IR MOA reticle keeps you in MOA from turret to reticle — an illuminated 0.3 MOA floating center dot with 1 MOA hash marks and drop lines down to 30 MOA, all matched to 0.25 MOA turrets with 70 MOA of elevation travel.
Key Features
- APLR7 SFP IR MOA reticle — second focal plane design with an illuminated 0.3 MOA floating center dot that stays the same size at every magnification. The 1 MOA hash marks and drop lines extend down to 30 MOA below center, giving you holdover capability for longer shots without dialing. Subtensions are calibrated at 16x.
- Illuminated center — variable brightness with numbered settings and off detents between each. The CR2032-powered center dot provides fast target acquisition in low light and against dark backgrounds where black crosshairs disappear.
- 0.25 MOA clicks with 25 MOA per revolution — the familiar quarter-MOA system. Four clicks per inch at 100 yards, intuitive and immediate. 70 MOA of total elevation travel handles zeros from 200-yard whitetail setups to 1,000-yard steel.
- Precision zero stop on elevation — dial up for distance and return to zero with a hard mechanical stop. Removable turret knobs with single top screw and three-screw zero stop plate.
- Locking windage turret — pull up to dial, push down to lock. Prevents accidental drift between shots.
- 6-24x magnification with 56mm objective — versatile from close stands at 6x to long-range work at 24x. The 56mm objective gathers light for clearer images at dawn and dusk.
- Side focus parallax from 10 yards to infinity — the included flywheel provides faster parallax adjustment. The 10-yard minimum covers rimfire, airgun, and centerfire applications.
Ideal For
MOA-system hunters who want an illuminated reticle with holdover capability in the same unit system as their turrets — no conversion math, no relearning. Dial or hold in MOA from zero to 1,000 yards.
Long-range shooters on a budget who want zero stop, locking windage, and 70 MOA of travel without spending $800+ — the SFP design delivers those features for less than the FFP variant.
Precision rimfire and airgun shooters who benefit from the 10-yard minimum parallax and illuminated center dot for small targets in varied lighting.
