At night, a called coyote or fox shows up at the far edge of the field, and the shot waits on two answers: what it is, and how far. The PARD Night Stalker 4K 2.0 70mm answers both with a 3840 × 2160 sensor rated to 0.001 lux behind a 70 mm lens at 6.5x, zooming digitally to 26x, and a 1,000 m laser rangefinder housed inside the objective lens, on a scope that focuses from the side like a day scope.
Key Features
- 4K sensor to 0.001 lux. A 3840 × 2160 CMOS sensor with 2 μm pixels shows the scene in color or black and white.
- 6.5x to 26x on a round display. The 70 mm lens gives 6.5x and a 3° × 3° field, about 5.2 m across at 100 m, and digital zoom of 2x, 3x and 4x takes it to 26x. The round 1280 × 1280 IPS display sits behind 65 mm of eye relief; focus runs from 10 m to infinity and the diopter from -5 to +5. The Night Stalker 4K 2.0 50mm gives 5x to 20x and a wider 4.2° field, and comes with a detachable 850 nm infrared illuminator.
- Rangefinder in the lens. The laser rangefinder is housed inside the objective, so the scope keeps a day-scope profile. It measures to 1,000 m and feeds the ballistic calculator.
- Side focus you can program. The side focus knob adjusts the image like a day scope's and can be set to trigger ranging or the ballistic calculation. The grooved keys and the silent magnetic lens cap work with gloves on.
- Two batteries. A built-in 21700 and a removable 18650 run it for up to 6 hours, with external power over USB-C, and a single press wakes it from standby.
- Record the shot. Recoil-activated recording keeps a 20-second loop and saves it to the microSD card (up to 128 GB) when it senses recoil. Photos and video save at 1280 × 1280, with sound, time stamps, auto and loop recording. Picture-in-picture shows a 2x view of the reticle area at the top of the screen, Wi-Fi turns a phone into a second viewfinder through the PardVision2 app, and there is an HDMI output, a gyroscope and an electronic compass.
- Built for recoil and weather. An aluminum alloy housing sealed to IP67, rated to 6,000 J of recoil and -30 °C to +55 °C (-22 °F to +131 °F).
Ideal For
- Predator hunters calling at night, who need to identify an animal at the edge of the field.
- Hunters who range before the shot, with the distance feeding the ballistic calculator.
- Long nights in a stand, with two batteries rated for up to 6 hours.
Accessories & Compatibility
- No illuminator with this version. The NS42-70/LRF comes without an infrared illuminator. The sensor works down to 0.001 lux, but in total darkness a digital night vision sensor needs infrared light to show the scene.
