Telling a coyote from a neighbor's dog at the far edge of a field takes detail that holds up when you zoom in. The PARD Night Stalker 5K eX 70mm is built around a 4096 × 3024 sensor rated to 0.001 lux, a round 2560 × 2560 OLED display and a 1,000 m laser rangefinder inside the objective lens, and this version comes with a detachable 850 nm infrared illuminator. Its 70 mm lens gives 5.5x, and digital zoom takes it to 22x.
Key Features
- 5K sensor. A 4096 × 3024 CMOS sensor with 2 μm pixels works down to 0.001 lux at 60 Hz. PARD built it to keep detail at higher magnification for target recognition.
- 5.5x to 22x on a 1.03-inch round OLED. The 70 mm lens shows a 4.9° × 3.9° field, about 8.6 m across at 100 m. The round 2560 × 2560 OLED sits behind 60 mm of eye relief; focus runs from 10 m to infinity and the diopter from -5 to +5. The Night Stalker 4K eX uses a 3840 × 2160 sensor and comes without the rangefinder or the illuminator.
- Rangefinder in the lens. The laser rangefinder is built into the objective, measures to 1,000 m and feeds the ballistic calculator.
- Detachable 850 nm illuminator. The infrared module has an adjustable beam: focus it for longer range or widen it to cover more ground, and take it off when you don't need it.
- Side focus and a programmable side button. Focus from the side like a day scope, and set the side button for ranging, image modes, the menu, photos or video.
- Reticles and color modes. Three small reticle styles and six crosshair styles in four colors, and five color modes: black and white, color, red, green and yellow. Picture-in-picture shows a 2x view of the reticle area at the top of the screen.
- Two batteries, one-click swap. A built-in 21700 and a removable 18650 behind a one-click battery cover run it for up to 6 hours, with external power over USB-C.
- Record the shot. Recoil-activated recording keeps a 20-second loop and saves it to the microSD card (up to 128 GB) when it senses recoil, with loop recording and time stamps; photos and video save at 1280 × 1280. Wi-Fi turns a phone into a second viewfinder through the PardVision2 app, and there is an HDMI output and a gyroscope.
- Built for recoil and weather. An aluminum alloy housing sealed to IP67, rated to 6,000 J of recoil and -30 °C to +55 °C (-22 °F to +131 °F).
Ideal For
- Night hunters who must identify before they shoot, with the 5K sensor holding detail up to 22x.
- Hunters who range before the shot, with the distance feeding the ballistic calculator.
- Hunters who want ranging and infrared without add-ons, since this version comes with both.
