The Guide TR 630-A pairs a 640×512 sensor with a compact 35mm F1.0 lens for the widest field of view in Guide's TR series — a lighter, faster-scanning thermal riflescope built for close-to-mid-range work in dense cover, thick brush, and tight shooting lanes where a wider perspective matters more than maximum detection range.

Key Features
  • 640×512 @ 12μm VOx Sensor with 25mK Sensitivity — The same proprietary uncooled vanadium oxide detector platform used across Guide's thermal lineup delivers genuine 640-class resolution at 12μm pixel pitch. At 25mK NETD, the TR 630-A produces clean, detailed imagery with excellent contrast between targets and background — more than enough sensitivity for reliable identification in any nighttime hunting scenario.
  • 35mm F1.0 Germanium Objective — The shorter 35mm lens trades maximum detection range for a significantly wider 12.5° × 10.0° field of view — nearly 50% wider than the 50mm TR 650-A. At 100 meters, you see a 22 × 17 meter window instead of 15 × 12. This makes a meaningful difference when scanning dense tree lines, working feeders at close range, or tracking hogs through thick cover where peripheral awareness keeps you ahead of the action.
  • 1024×768 AMOLED Display — The same high-resolution 0.39-inch AMOLED panel found across the TR series, with true blacks and seven color palettes. The display outresolves the sensor, so you see every pixel of thermal data the detector captures.
  • 2x – 16x Magnification Range — The 2x native magnification provides an exceptionally wide base view for fast target acquisition and situational awareness. Smooth digital zoom extends to 16x when you need a closer look. The 50Hz refresh rate keeps everything fluid during panning and tracking.
  • Lightweight at 575g (20.3 oz) — Over 100 grams lighter than the 50mm TR 650-A, the TR 630-A adds minimal weight to your rifle. For hunters who walk to their spots or run and gun on predator calls, the reduced weight adds up over a long night.
  • 8-Hour Battery on Standard 18650 Cells — Same proven battery platform as the entire TR series. One replaceable 18650 delivers a full night. No proprietary packs — spares are cheap, available everywhere, and swap in seconds via the side-loading battery compartment.
  • 32GB Recording, WiFi & Bluetooth — Capture photos and video with audio to onboard storage. Stream live to the TargetIR app for shared viewing, zeroing assistance, and firmware updates.
  • IP67 Weatherproof, .300 Win Mag Rated — Dust-tight, submersion-rated, and tested for magnum recoil. Operates from -30°C to +50°C.

Ideal For

Hog hunters working thick cover — feeders in the brush, wooded senderos, and dense bottoms where engagements happen inside 200 yards. The 12.5° field of view and 2x base magnification let you scan fast, acquire targets early, and maintain awareness of the whole sounder. When they scatter, you're not hunting through a straw.

Predator hunters on close-quarters stands where animals come in fast to the call. The wider FOV gives you a bigger acquisition window, and the lighter weight makes transitions between scanning and shooting positions quicker and more natural.

Hunters building a 640-class thermal setup on a budget who don't need the extended detection range of a 50mm optic. The TR 630-A delivers the same 640×512 sensor technology, the same 10-year warranty, and the same direct-from-Guide support, at $300 less than the TR 650-A. For the majority of hunting scenarios inside 500 yards, the wider field of view is arguably the better trade.
