How do I put it together?
To assemble the National Geographic RT70400 70mm Refractor Telescope with Panhandle Mount, follow these steps:
1. Choose a well-lit environment: It is recommended to assemble the telescope in daylight or in a well-lit room to familiarize yourself with the components and assembly process.
2. Open the Tripod: Place the tripod on a stable surface. Then, extend the tripod legs until the tripod spreaders are fully extended and the tripod is stable.
3. Attach the Telescope Tube: Position the telescope tube on the tripod head. Then, use the locating screw provided to secure the telescope tube for altitude adjustments.
4. Install the Eyepiece: Select an eyepiece (starting with the 25 mm eyepiece is recommended for the widest field of view). Then, insert the chosen eyepiece into the diagonal and secure it.
These steps will help you set up your telescope for initial use. For more details, please refer to the instruction manual.
