    To assemble the National Geographic RT70400 70mm Refractor Telescope with Panhandle Mount, follow these steps:

    1. Choose a well-lit environment: It is recommended to assemble the telescope in daylight or in a well-lit room to familiarize yourself with the components and assembly process.
    2. Open the Tripod: Place the tripod on a stable surface. Then, extend the tripod legs until the tripod spreaders are fully extended and the tripod is stable.
    3. Attach the Telescope Tube: Position the telescope tube on the tripod head. Then, use the locating screw provided to secure the telescope tube for altitude adjustments.
    4. Install the Eyepiece: Select an eyepiece (starting with the 25 mm eyepiece is recommended for the widest field of view). Then, insert the chosen eyepiece into the diagonal and secure it.
