A 130mm f/4.6 Newtonian reflector with a fast focal ratio optimized for wide-field deep-sky views — the only reflector in the FirstLight OTA lineup and the best choice for observers who want to sweep through nebulae, star clusters, and galaxies.

The fast f/4.6 focal ratio and 600mm focal length deliver wide true fields of view that refractors and Maksutov-Cassegrains at the same aperture cannot match. A 25mm eyepiece produces 24x at a field wide enough to frame the entire Orion Nebula or Pleiades cluster in a single view. The 130mm parabolic primary mirror gathers enough light to reveal structure in galaxies, resolve individual stars in globular clusters, and show the wispy filaments of bright nebulae from a reasonably dark site.

The Newtonian design delivers all 130mm of unobstructed aperture without the chromatic aberration of achromatic refractors — stars are sharp, white points across the field. Fully multi-coated optics on the secondary mirror and included eyepiece maximize contrast. At 7 lbs, the tube is light enough for a wide range of equatorial and alt-az mounts.

Key Features
  • 130mm (5.1") parabolic Newtonian reflector, fully multi-coated
  • 600mm focal length, f/4.6 — wide-field deep-sky performance
  • Lightweight: 7 lbs
  • Includes 25mm Plossl eyepiece, red-dot finder, smartphone adapter
  • Vixen-style dovetail

Ideal For
  • Deep-sky observers — the fast focal ratio frames large objects like nebulae and open clusters that longer telescopes can only show in pieces
  • Astrophotography beginners — f/4.6 gathers light quickly for shorter exposures on a tracking mount
  • Budget-minded observers wanting aperture — 130mm of mirror collects more light than any refractor near this price
