The Guide TU425C 3.0 is a compact thermal riflescope with a 1.43-inch AMOLED touchscreen display — a fundamentally different form factor that replaces the traditional eyepiece with a rear-mounted screen, making it the smallest and lightest thermal optic in the Guide TU lineup at just 438 grams. With 0.7x base magnification, a standard 30mm tube, and the full Guide 3.0 feature set, the TU425C is designed for hunters who want thermal capability in the most compact, lightweight package possible.

Key Features
- 400 × 300 thermal sensor, 12 μm pixel pitch — 120,000 thermal pixels with ≤20 mK NETD deliver clean, usable imagery in complete darkness, fog, rain, and smoke, with a thermal detection range of 1,300 meters. Shutterless 3.0 calibration keeps the display live at 50 Hz — no freeze frames during recalibration.
- 1.43-inch AMOLED touchscreen (466 × 466) — a rear-mounted square display replaces the traditional eyepiece, allowing both-eyes-open shooting and intuitive menu navigation via touch. The screen-forward design means no eye relief to manage and no eye box to align — just mount, power on, and shoot.
- 0.7x base magnification — the widest base view in the TU lineup. At 0.7x, the TU425C provides a near-natural field of view that makes target acquisition instinctive at close range, scaling up to 2.8x with digital zoom for moderate-distance engagements.
- 25mm F1.0 germanium objective lens — a compact, fast objective that keeps the scope at just 245mm overall length. The 8.2° × 8.2° square field of view matches the display geometry for edge-to-edge clarity with no wasted sensor area.
- Recoil-activated recording — each shot automatically captures a 15-second video clip and 5 still photos, stored on 32 GB of internal memory. Instant playback lets you review shots on the touchscreen.
- 12-hour battery with hot-swap capability — a built-in 18500 rechargeable cell plus an external 18650 bay provide extended runtime with field-swappable power. Standard 18650 cells are available anywhere.
- 438 grams / 15.45 oz — the lightest thermal riflescope in the Guide lineup. At 245mm long and under a pound, the TU425C adds minimal weight and length to any rifle platform.
- IP68 / 6,000J shock rating — fully sealed against dust and submersion, and rated for recoil up to .300 Win Mag. Built to perform in extreme cold (−4°F) through desert heat (122°F).
Ideal For
Hunters who want the smallest, lightest thermal riflescope possible — at 438 grams and 245mm, the TU425C is significantly shorter and lighter than any traditional-eyepiece thermal scope, making it ideal for compact rifle builds, shotguns, or any platform where every ounce matters.
Both-eyes-open shooters who prefer a screen-based aiming system over a traditional eyepiece. The touchscreen display allows natural situational awareness with both eyes open, similar to shooting with a red dot — but with full thermal imaging.
Hog and predator hunters working at close range in dense cover where 0.7x base magnification and a wide field of view matter more than long-range detection. The TU425C excels in exactly the fast, close-quarters scenarios where bulkier thermals feel slow.
Hunters looking for a second thermal optic — the TU425C's compact size and low price make it a practical backup or dedicated close-range thermal for hunters who already own a higher-magnification primary scope.
