A 100mm f/14 Maksutov-Cassegrain on the Twilight Nano alt-az mount — the most compact and portable telescope combo in the FirstLight lineup, packing 1400mm of focal length into an optical tube just 12.6 inches long and 4 pounds.
The Mak-Cass design folds the light path with mirrors behind a sealed meniscus corrector, delivering high-magnification planetary views from a tube you can toss in a daypack. The f/14 focal ratio produces sharp, high-contrast images of lunar craters, Saturn's rings, and Jupiter's cloud bands. The sealed tube never needs collimation and stays dust-free. Fully multi-coated optics maximize brightness.
The Twilight Nano mount's panhandle control makes tracking planets at high magnification smooth and intuitive. The stainless steel tripod adjusts from 25.5" to 45" and supports up to 15 lbs — plenty of headroom for this lightweight setup.
