Explore Scientific 92° Series 2" 12mm LER Waterproof Eyepiece

The 92° Series 12mm LER delivers an ultra-wide 92° field of view with 20mm of eye relief. The massive field of view creates a genuinely immersive deep-sky experience while the Long Eye Relief design keeps hours-long sessions comfortable.

Key Features

• 92° apparent field of view — an immersive "picture window" view of the sky, 10° wider than an 82° eyepiece's
• 20mm Long Eye Relief — exceptionally comfortable viewing distance that accommodates eyeglasses without any field loss
• Premium multi-element optics with exotic glass combinations for sharp, well-corrected images across the enormous field
• 2" barrel
• Argon-purged waterproof housing — sealed against moisture, fog, and temperature extremes for all-weather reliability
• Enhanced Multi-Layer Deposition (EMD) coatings on all air-to-glass surfaces with edge-blackened elements for high contrast

Ideal For

• Deep-sky observers seeking maximum immersion — planetary nebulae, galaxy groups, and globular clusters sit within a vast surrounding star field that provides context and a visceral sense of depth
• Eyeglass wearers who have been limited by short eye relief in other ultra-wide-field designs
• Observers stepping up from 82° eyepieces who want to experience the next level of field width
• Extended observing sessions where the combination of generous eye relief and immersive field makes fatigue a non-issue
