Athlon Optics Argos G2 HD 12x50 Binoculars

12x magnification pulls distant subjects close enough to ID. The Athlon Argos G2 HD 12x50 has ESP dielectric-coated, phase-corrected BAK-4 roof prisms, which Athlon says reflect over 99% of the light to your eyes.

Key Features

• ESP dielectric coating on phase-corrected BAK-4 roof prisms — Athlon says the coating reflects over 99% of the light, for bright images with accurate color
• HD glass with advanced fully multi-coated lenses delivers clean, sharp images with reduced chromatic aberration. Combined with XPL protective exterior coating, the optical system maximizes light transmission while protecting the glass from field abuse
• 12x magnification with a 50mm objective provides the reach to evaluate distant subjects with a 4.2mm exit pupil that sustains a usable image into twilight. The 257-foot field of view at 1,000 yards keeps scanning practical at this magnification
• Magnesium alloy chassis at 31.5 ounces — argon purged and fully waterproof, built to handle the conditions that hunting season and backcountry trips demand
• 16mm eye relief with twist-up eyecups — comfortable for glasses wearers, with a wide 56-76mm IPD range that accommodates a broad range of face shapes

Ideal For

Hunters on a budget who refuse to compromise on glass quality — you get ESP dielectric-coated prisms even though the HD glass sits a tier below UHD. For dawn and dusk glassing when it counts most, that dielectric advantage is visible.

Outdoor enthusiasts and wildlife watchers looking for a capable 12x50 without the premium price. The Argos G2 HD covers the essentials — bright image, waterproof build, magnesium chassis — at a price that makes it accessible as a first quality binocular or a backup optic you don't worry about.

If you want more: The Midas G2 UHD 12x50 upgrades to UHD extra-low-dispersion glass, drops 3 ounces, and widens the field of view — at about $200 more.
