The Guide TE211M trades the traditional thermal monocular eyepiece for a 1.43-inch AMOLED full-color touchscreen — a display-driven thermal scanner that fits naturally in the hand or chest pocket. Same 256 × 192 12 μm sensor as the standard TE211, but the touchscreen interface lets multiple people view the image at once and removes the eyepiece-fit challenge for users with glasses or wide eye spacing. At $519 it's the only touchscreen-driven thermal monocular at this price.
Key Features
- 1.43" 466 × 466 AMOLED touchscreen with one-button control — view-without-eyepiece operation; share the view, no eye relief calibration
- 256 × 192 @ 12 μm sensor with 30 mK NETD — finer pixel pitch than 17 μm sensors at this price
- 10 mm F1.0 lens with 1.2x – 4.8x magnification — wide square FOV (13.1° × 13.1°) for fast acquisition
- 500 m / 550 yd man-target detection — sized for property work and close-range hunting
- 205 g / 7.23 oz pocket body, 49 × 49 × 111 mm — palm-sized
- Built-in battery, 6-hour runtime with 20W quick charging — fast top-ups between sessions
- WiFi (2.4G + 5G), Bluetooth, 16 GB internal storage — photo/video recording with audio
- Seven image palettes — White Hot, Black Hot, Red Hot, Green Hot, Iron Red, Blue Hot, Sepia
- IP67 weather sealing — rain, dew, dust
Ideal For
- Eyeglass wearers who struggle with traditional eyepiece thermal monoculars — touchscreen removes the eye-relief variable entirely
- Property owners doing nighttime checks — pull from pocket, hold up, view; no head-mount adjustment
- Anyone sharing observations with a partner — both can see the screen simultaneously, where eyepiece monoculars are single-user
- First-time thermal buyers who want a familiar phone-like interface rather than a dedicated optic
