The Athlon Argos BTR GEN3 8-34×56 pairs first focal plane accuracy with the magnification to read mirage and spot hits at distance, through the APLR11 FFP illuminated MOA reticle and 34× top-end magnification backed by a precision zero stop.
The APLR11 is a first focal plane reticle with the entire reticle illuminated: a 0.2 MOA floating center dot, 1 MOA hash marks in each direction, and numbered drop lines every 5 MOA down to 50 MOA below center. FFP ensures subtensions stay accurate across the full 8-34× range — no need to dial to a specific power for holdovers to work. The 0.25 MOA clicks and 25 MOA per revolution provide fast, intuitive dialing for shooters who think in MOA.
Key Features
- 30mm one-piece tube with precision zero stop — the zero stop provides a hard return to your confirmed zero after dialing for distance, with 45 MOA of total elevation and windage travel
- 8-34× magnification with 56mm objective — enough reach to spot bullet impacts and read mirage at 1,000 yards, while the large objective maintains brightness at maximum power
- 0.25 MOA clicks with 25 MOA per revolution — precise, intuitive adjustments with exposed turrets designed for dialing rather than holding over
- Advanced fully multi-coated optics with XPL coating — AFMC lenses deliver high light transmission across the spectrum, while the XPL protective layer guards against abrasion
- Argon purged — inert gas purging provides superior fog-proofing and internal moisture resistance
- Side focus parallax adjustment — adjustable from 15 yards to infinity for parallax-free shooting at any distance
Ideal For
Long-range target and F-class shooters who prefer MOA adjustments and want FFP holdovers with enough magnification to score hits at 600-1,000 yards — the 34× top end resolves scoring rings and bullet splash.
PRS production division competitors looking for a capable FFP MOA scope at a budget-friendly price point — the APLR11 reticle provides the holdover references needed for stage scenarios.
Varmint and prairie dog shooters who need to spot small targets at extended distances — the combination of 34× magnification, fine reticle lines, and FFP accuracy makes this scope effective on small targets at distance.
