The QE-B50 is Luna's flagship digital binocular—pairing a 0.0005-lux Quantum Elite sensor with 4K recording, 1,100-yard night detection, and a 1,635-yard laser rangefinder in a platform built for professionals who need the absolute maximum from a digital optic. Where the Quantum Digital series detects to 654 yards, the Elite's 75% sensitivity improvement over G3-generation sensors and dual IR illuminators push that ceiling to over 1,000 meters.
The faster f/0.9, all-glass, multicoated 50mm objective gathers more light than f/1.0 designs, feeding a UHD sensor that resolves 2880x2160 pixels for 4K video capture. Dual integrated illuminators—850nm and 940nm—give you flexibility across lighting conditions, and the automatic internal filter handles the daylight-to-IR transition without manual intervention. A Class-I 905nm laser rangefinder returns distance out to 1,500 meters, and 18650 rechargeable batteries deliver up to 8.5 hours of runtime—nearly double the Quantum Digital's CR123A endurance.
Key Features
- 1,635-Yard Class-I Laser Rangefinder — Eye-safer Class-I 905nm LRF returns distance out to 1,500 meters without the restrictions of Class-3R lasers
- 1,100-Yard Night Detection — Dual 1-watt IR illuminators (850nm + 940nm, Class-3R) push detection range to 1,000 meters in total darkness
- Quantum Elite Sensor (0.0005 lux) — 75% more sensitive than the G3 generation, with a UHD 2880x2160 pixel sensor that captures detail invisible to lesser digital units
- 4K Video Recording — Capture 4K, 2K, 1080p, or 720p video at up to 60fps with built-in microphone; 16.1MP stills for evidence-grade documentation
- f/0.9 All-Glass Optics — Faster than f/1.0 designs, the multicoated 50mm objective maximizes light throughput from dusk through total darkness
- Electronic Image Stabilization — EIS at 6x optical magnification smooths handheld viewing and eliminates shaky video from unstabilized digital units
- Automatic Day/Night Filter — An internal color-enhancing filter switches automatically between daylight and IR modes—no manual cap removal, no missed moments
- Six Color Modes — Daytime Color, Nighttime Color, Black & White, NV Green Phosphor, NV White Phosphor, and Amber
- Dual 1024x768 AMOLED Displays — Independent eyepiece displays with deep blacks and wide viewing angles, ruggedized for cold-weather operation
- 8.5-Hour Battery Life — Runs on 2x or 4x 18650 rechargeable batteries, or connect via USB-C to a power bank for up to 24 hours of continuous operation
