Athlon Optics Midas TAC GEN2 HD 6-24×50 APLR15 FFP MOA

The Athlon Midas TAC GEN2 HD 6-24×50 APLR15 FFP MOA pairs 24x magnification with 85 MOA of elevation travel, a precision zero stop, and HD glass, delivering the resolution and adjustment range that long-range precision shooting demands without crossing $700. The Gen2 HD pairs low-dispersion HD glass with advanced fully multi-coated lenses, and the 50mm objective gathers enough light to maintain a useful image even at max power.

Key Features

• HD low-dispersion glass with advanced fully multi-coated lenses and XPL protective coating delivers bright, color-true images with reduced chromatic aberration
• 85 MOA total elevation adjustment in a 30mm tube with 25 MOA per revolution for predictable tracking, enough to dial confidently past 1,000 yards on most centerfire cartridges without a canted rail
• 50 MOA total windage adjustment with a capped turret that prevents accidental bumps in the field while still providing ample correction range
• Precision zero stop returns to your exact zero with a hard, repeatable stop
• 0.25 MOA clicks on the exposed elevation turret are tactile and audible
• First focal plane APLR15 MOA reticle — etched glass, non-illuminated, with hash marks at consistent MOA increments and a fine floating center dot. Subtensions stay accurate at every magnification
• 6-24x magnification range with a 4x zoom ratio — 24x gives you the resolution to read mirage, spot splash, and make precise corrections at extended distance, while the 50mm objective maintains a usable exit pupil across the power range
• Side-focus parallax adjustment from 10 yards to infinity — the 10-yard close focus makes this scope equally capable on airguns and rimfire at short range
• 30mm one-piece aircraft-grade aluminum tube, argon-purged and sealed: waterproof, fogproof, and shockproof

Ideal For

PRS and NRL competitors who want more magnification for target identification and wind reading: 85 MOA of elevation travel, a zero stop, and crisp 0.25 MOA clicks deliver the mechanical features that precision rifle competition demands. At 26.3 oz, this scope keeps weight manageable while giving you 24x of resolution for reading conditions at distance.

Long-range precision shooters building around 6.5 Creedmoor, .308 Winchester, or similar cartridges who prioritize magnification over a wide low-end. The 6-24x range and 85 MOA of elevation put confident dialups to 1,000+ yards within reach. The HD glass and FFP reticle let you read conditions and correct without lifting your head from the stock.

MOA-system shooters who prefer quarter-minute clicks and MOA-based holdovers: the 0.25 MOA clicks and APLR15 MOA reticle keep your turrets and reticle in the same language, and the 25 MOA per revolution makes tracking your position on the elevation dial straightforward.

F-class, benchrest, and airgun field target competitors — the 24x top end provides the magnification these disciplines demand for precise shot placement on small targets, and the 10-yard minimum parallax focus handles everything from close-range airgun work to 1,000-yard centerfire.
