Athlon Optics Argos G2 HD 10x42 Binoculars

The Athlon Argos G2 HD 10x42 brings ESP dielectric-coated, phase-corrected BAK-4 prisms to a 10x42 open-bridge binocular, in a package built for the hunter, birder, or hiker who wants real optical performance without the flagship price.

Key Features

• ESP dielectric coating on phase-corrected BAK-4 roof prisms reflects over 99% of light through the prism assembly — the same coating technology used across Athlon's entire Argos G2 and Midas G2 lines.
• HD glass with advanced fully multi-coated lenses and XPL protective exterior coating delivers sharp, color-accurate images while protecting the optics from scratches, dirt, and oil in the field
• Open-bridge magnesium chassis at 25.5 ounces, for a secure one-handed grip — argon purged and fully waterproof
• 10x42 format with a 319-foot field of view at 1,000 yards and 16.1mm eye relief — enough magnification and field width for general-purpose observation, with comfortable viewing for glasses wearers
• Wide 56-76mm IPD range for adjusting to your eye spacing

Ideal For

First-time buyers stepping up from budget glass — the Argos G2 HD line is where ESP dielectric prism coatings start in Athlon's range. Its price point makes it an easy decision.

Hikers, travelers, and casual wildlife watchers who want a capable, weatherproof 10x42 they can grab without overthinking. Its open-bridge design and 25.5-ounce weight make it comfortable for all-day carry on a neck strap.

Want sharper glass? The Argos G2 UHD 10x42 upgrades to extra-low-dispersion glass on the same open-bridge chassis for $50 more — reducing chromatic aberration for cleaner edges and more accurate color.
